Meet our newest Theatre Performance Scholars!

We asked our students to introduce themselves by answering a few questions.
1. Where are you from?
2. What is your major here at Drexel?
3. What excites you about being involved with Theatre at Drexel?

Olivia Allen

1. I am from Laurel, Maryland.
2. I am majoring in Entertainment and Arts Management.
3. I am excited about being involved in Drexel Theatre because of how many more performing opportunities there are than in high school. I look forward to each performance yet to come!

Jia Weingard

1. I'm from Massachusetts.
2. I’m a psychology major.
3. Something that excites me about being involved in theater here at Drexel is that I get to explore my creative boundaries and learn from others. I love having a fun, supportive community to be a part of.

Oli Oski

1. Burlington Vermont.
2. Global Studies and a minor in Arabic.
3. I'm excited to perform on a high level with a new group of incredibly supportive peers.

Dahlia Ufberg

1. I’m from Abington, PA.
2. I’m a marketing major.
3. I’m so excited to work with such an amazing group of people and be back on a stage!

Maya Seipel

1. I am from Wilmington, Delaware.
2. I am an Entertainment and Arts Management major.
3. I am excited about being a part of a group of students that appreciate collaborating as a company, growing together, and having fun!

Abby Swaney

1. I am from Haddon Township, New Jersey.
2. I am a psychology major.
3. I am excited to be pushed out of my comfort zone while doing theatre at Drexel, and I’m really excited to form new bonds with everyone involved in theatre over the course of the next few years!

Lois Divoll

1. I am from Worcester, Massachusetts.
2. I am a mathematics major.
3. I am excited about taking all the skills and experiences I have from high school and combining them with the resources that Drexel has! I am really excited to work with such talented people.

Claire Sanner

1. I am from an island off the coast of Maine, called Mount Desert Island
2. I am in the First-Year Exploratory Studies Program, but I am taking classes from Entertainment & Arts Management and hopefully Fashion Marketing this Winter.
3. What I really love about theatre here at Drexel is that it is professional but not as competitive as it would be elsewhere. Since we don’t have theatre majors, we aren’t competing for roles against people who are pursuing theatre as a career, and everyone that does it is doing it because they truly love the art and are able to entertain their passion alongside others here at Drexel. I am very grateful for the countless opportunities I have been offered to participate in performing arts here at Drexel, and I can’t wait to see what the next few years hold!
